Global law firm Jones Day has advised Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) on its proposed acquisition of iSOFT Group Limited, for a total consideration of $437 million.

 
 

CSC, which is listed on the NYSE and has a market capitalisation of approximately $US7.6 billion ($7.2 billion), is a global leader in providing technology-enabled solutions and services through three primary lines of business. iSOFT Group Limited, advised by Baker & McKenzie, is the largest health information technology company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and among the world's biggest providers of advanced application solutions in modern healthcare economies.

The acquisition will be effected by way of a court sanctioned scheme of arrangement. The consideration comprises $182 million for the iSOFT equity and $255 to repay iSOFT's outstanding debt.

The Jones Day team was led by Chris Ahern and Weyinmi Popo in the Sydney office and comprised Lucy Woolacott, Jonathan Halliwell and Emma Shelston (Sydney), Bernard Amory and Charles de Navacelle (Brussels), Jonathon Little, Liz Robertson, Ed Nalbantian and Nick Davies (London).
