New York-listed business analytics provider Dun & Bradstreet Corporation has acquired the Dun & Bradstreet Australia Holdings Limited (DBA) for approximately $233 million in cash.
DBA is a member of the D&B Worldwide Network and is the leading credit and information services provider in Australia and New Zealand.
DBA was owned by DBA management in partnership with LCW Private Equity, the Australian private equity arm of Lazard.
The acquisition is Dun & Bradstreet Corporation's largest acquisition since its divesture of Moody's Rating Services in 2000 and it will make Australia a cornerstone of its Asian growth strategy.
The transaction closed on 31 August and was financed primarily with existing cash on hand.
Minter Ellison's Nick Broome and Anthony Oxley acted for LCW, while Mallesons Stephen Jaques acted for Dun & Bradstreet Corporation.
