Melbourne firm Hall & Wilcox has advised ASX-listed boutique real estate investment manager APN Property Group Limited (APN) on its strategic partnership with Asian real estate funds management company ARA Asset Management Limited (ARA).
The transaction involved the placement of 15 per cent of APN's issued capital to ARA and the acquisition by APN of ARA Strategic Capital I Pte Limited, the manager of the ARA Asian Asset Income Fund.
According to Hall & Willcox, it is expected that Singapore-based ARA will also provide seed capital to support future APN funds management activities.
The Hall & Wilcox team was led by managing partner Tony Macvean and included senior associate James Morvell and lawyer Tess Lynch.
Macvean travelled to Singapore with the APN team as part of the initial discussions and due diligence.
