Firm: Hall & Wilcox (Waldner group)

Deal: Walder — which develops and produces customised filling systems, process systems, laboratories and learning spaces — has acquired Laboratory Systems Group, a pioneer in Australia for lab solutions designed for maximum safety and optimum performance.

As a result of the acquisition, Hall & Wilcox said in a statement, Waldner will strengthen its presence in the APAC region and amplify service offerings in Australia and New Zealand.

Area: Merger and acquisition

Value: Undisclosed

Key players: The Hall & Wilcox team was led by partner Oliver Jankowsky, who was supported by partners Frank Hinoporos, Karl Rozenbergs and James Deady, senior associates Jasmine Koh and Rachel Law, special counsel Piers Mitchem, lawyer James Pavlidis and paralegal Anne Utecht.

Deal significance: Hall & Wilcox conducted the legal and tax due diligence, drafted and negotiated all transaction documents and advised Waldner on corporate, tax, IP and employment law.

Speaking about the acquisition, Mr Jankowsky said: “This is another success story for a German company.

“Our German desk and the collaborative teams at Hall & Wilcox were delighted to be able to assist the Waldner group on this deal. Despite working across three time zones, this was a seamless process and our client is very satisfied with the outcome.”

Waldner chief executive Jochen Früh added: “The always committed and solution-oriented support of Oliver [Jankowsky] and his team made this deal possible.”
