Grant Broadcasters sold for $307m
Media and entertainment business HT&E has acquired the radio and digital operations of Grant Broadcasters in a deal worth $307 million.

Key players: The KWM team advising on the transaction was led by partner Tim Sherman and Wendy Miller, senior associate from the KWM tax team. They were assisted by Jim Zovaro, Stuart Courtney and Michael Evans. Jessica Wallis and Tracey Jordan advised on the property aspects of the transaction.
Deal significance: The deal represents an expansion of HT&E’s business into regional Australia and the creation of a national broadcast network of a scale of 58 radio stations and 46 DAB+ stations across 33 markets.
Commenting on the deal, Mr Sherman said that KWM was “delighted to have assisted HT&E with this strategic acquisition to create a truly national radio broadcast network”.
