Partner appointed to National Trust of Australia board
A corporate and commercial partner with Colin Biggers & Paisley has been appointed chairman of the board of the National Trust of Australia in Victoria.
Succeeding Kristin Stegley OAM, Andrew Logie-Smith has stepped into the role of chairman of the National Trust of Australia board. Until recently, he was on the board as a director and, prior to that, served as company secretary.
In his position as chairman, Mr Logie-Smith said he would focus on “simplicity and teamwork” to deliver outcomes, and the “gifts of education, a never-ending thirst for knowledge, a commitment to hard work and a drive to achieve outcomes” have created many opportunities within the National Trust of Australia.
“At the very heart of the National Trust is its mission to inspire the community to appreciate, conserve and celebrate its diverse natural, cultural, social and Indigenous heritage. To achieve such a mission requires many things and without doubt cannot be achieved without the significant contribution of our members and volunteers prepared to commit time, vitality and passion to the welfare of the trust.”
Mr Logie-Smith will commit to framing the new three-to-five-year strategic plan and the evolution of the trust. He added a key focus is likely the repositioning of the brand and image, with an emphasis on “preserving and showcasing our preeminent properties for the Victorian community”.
