Firm: King & Wood Mallesons (Qube Holdings).

Deal: KWM has advised Qube on the monetisation of the Moorebank Logistics Precinct, resulting in a total consideration of $1.67 billion agreed with the Logos Consortium.

Value: $1.67 billion.

Area: Projects and infrastructure.

Key players: The KWM team was led by Mark Upfold, sector lead for infrastructure, with terrific support from construction partner Peter Pether, special counsels Gareth Howe and Simonne Einfeld and senior associates Matthew Carr, Maona Matanda and Shirley Cheng.

Deal significance: This deal follows the origination of the development in 2016, where KWM advised Qube on its successful tender for the precinct. KWM worked closely with the advisers for many stakeholders and their counsel, including Allens, Pinsent Mason, Clayton Utz and others.

Lead partner Mark Upfold commented: “My congratulations to the Qube management team in achieving their monetisation objectives.

“We value working directly with senior decision makers such as the general counsel, CFO and others on these complex transactions and enjoyed assisting Qube on a successful outcome”.
