AAT makes 13 reappointments

Thirteen reappointments have been made to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

Seven full-time members, five part-time members and one part-time deputy president have been reappointed to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal as of last week.

The Honourable Dennis Cowdroy AO QC has been appointed as part-time deputy president in addition to 12 other members.

The following full-time reappointments have been made: Theodore Tavoularis, Dr Louise Bygrave, Kent Chapman, Jeffrey Thomson, Justine Clarke, Jennifer Cripps Watts and Justin Meyer.

Furthermore, the following part-time reappointments have been made: Professor David Ben-Tovim, Angela Cranston, Michael Manetta, Jane Marquard and James Silva.

A statement issued by the AAT said: “All of the appointees are highly qualified to undertake the important task of conducting merits review of government decisions.

“On behalf of the Government, I congratulate all appointees, and I look forward to the contribution they will make to the Tribunal.”
