Mamba Exploration completes IPO and ASX listing
Global law firm, DLA Piper, has advised the Western Australian-headquartered exploration company on its IPO and listing on the ASX.
Firm: DLA Piper (Mamba Exploration Limited).
Value: $7 million.
Area: Corporate, energy and natural resources.
Key players: The team advising Mamba Exploration was led by DLA Piper global co-chair of energy and natural resources Alex Jones and corporate partner James Stewart, with support from Matthew Roberts and Kirsty Hall.
Deal significance: A statement from DLA Piper confirmed Mamba Exploration contains four “100 per cent owned geographically diverse projects”, which provide year-round access.
“The projects are highly prospective base and precious metals exploration assets in the Ashburton, Kimberley, Darling Range and Great Southern regions of Western Australia,” the statement noted, adding that as part of the IPO, Mamba completed the acquisition of the 100 per cent-owned Western Australian projects including the Darling Range nickel, copper and PGE project in the Julimar region, the Calyerup Creek gold project in the Great Southern, the Ashburton Gold project in the southern Ashburton, and the Kimberley Projects in the East Kimberley.
“These projects will allow year-round exploration activity and news flows,” the firm said.
Commenting further, Mr Jones said the firm is thrilled to be able to support Mamba Exploration “in what has proved to be a highly successful IPO, and excited to see Mamba commence exploration activities across its projects in Western Australia”.
Meanwhile, Mr Stewart commented: “We are seeing a strong pipeline of IPOs in what is a buoyant market. It is good to see the IPO market opening up in the junior mining space, with strong support for good projects.”
