Area: Capital markets.
Key players: The K&L Gates team that advised Duratec was led by corporate and capital markets partner Adam Levine, senior associate Natasha Augustin and lawyers Ben Kiernan-Green and Cassandra Ferrier.
To assist with the technical aspects of the transaction, this core team was supported by lawyers from the firm’s finance, labour, employment and workplace safety, and environmental practices.
Euroz Securities Limited acted as lead manager and underwriter of the IPO, with Ernst & Young Strategy and Transactions Limited acting as corporate advisers.
Deal significance: The $52 million raised by the issue of 48 million new shares and the sale of over 57 million sale shares will provide Duratec with working capital to allow the company to fund its future project pipeline and pursue its growth strategy.
“We were delighted to be able to assist Duratec with its successful IPO and ASX listing,” Perth-based partner Mr Levine commented.
“Bringing a national and trusted asset remediation and refurbishment specialist with a track record of success to the market in the midst of a global pandemic was an amazing experience. We congratulate Duratec and very much look forward to being part of their future growth and continued success.”
