NSW’s top 5 most attractive firms
Exclusive research has revealed the top five firms deemed most attractive by legal professionals in the state of NSW.
For the sixth consecutive year, Lawyers Weekly has unveiled its Top 25 Attraction Firms ranking, showcasing the most sought-after legal employers across the country.
While those who made the cut in this year’s Top 25 Attraction Firms have cemented their position as being a sought-after employer nationwide, breaking down the figures by state offers a different picture as to what is thought to be the firm lawyers would most want to join if they were to leave their current place of employment.
To determine this, survey respondents were asked: “Which firm would you consider a move to if you ever decided to leave your current firm?”
Coming in at number one was Ashurst, which saw the majority of legal professionals based in NSW select the BigLaw firm as the place they’d want to work if they were to switch.
King & Wood Mallesons nabbed the number two spot among the most attractive firms for NSW legal professionals.
Next up was Sparke Helmore Lawyers and Gilbert + Tobin, that both received the same amount of votes, followed by Herbert Smith Freehills rounding out the top five.
Last year saw different results when breaking down the firms deemed most attractive by state, with MinterEllison claiming the top spot in NSW in 2019.
Lawyers Weekly will be revealing the top five firms deemed most attractive by legal professionals in Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia over the coming days.
