Deal significance: Following a thorough and robust selection process, the City of Sydney has determined QMS to be a genuine partner in the execution of their 2030 vision for the city.

The long-term agreement incorporates the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of what will be a predominantly digital advertising landscape, creating a dynamic Sydney CBD media channel.

MS Group CEO, Barclay Nettlefold said QMS was honoured to win the coveted City of Sydney contract.

“The City of Sydney [street furniture] contract is universally recognised as the jewel in the crown of Australia’s OOH industry. QMS is proud to be recognised for our credentials, capabilities and people in securing this contract,” Mr Nettlefold said.

The City of Sydney selected QMS Media as the successful bidder for its internationally acclaimed [street furniture and outdoor media services contract], a contract which was previously held by JCDecaux since the late 1990s.

QMS Media has been appointed to design, manufacture, install and maintain a wide range of street furniture assets including bus shelters, kiosks, benches, public toilets and communications pylons.

The street furniture will be equipped with advertising panels and QMS Media will be responsible for selling that advertising space to advertisers.

QMS Media has been appointed for a term of 10 years, with an option for a five-year extension.
