Medtech Global sold to Acclivis Group
Maddocks has advised Cereus Holdings Ltd on its sale of New Zealand’s leading medical technology company Medtech Global.

Medtech Global develops and licenses practice management software that is used by 700,000 patients and GPs in New Zealand and has a growing international footprint in countries such as the US, the UK, Australia, Ireland and India.

Deal significance: This transaction is the final chapter of what has been an important and long-running relationship between Maddocks and Medtech Global.
Vino Ramayah, Medtech Global founder, says the company will be restructured at the same time.
Medtech Global will retain the advanced practice management software and state-of-the-art solutions for general practitioners (GPs), specialists, allied health workers and health organisations.
This part of the business has been the market leader in practice management systems in New Zealand for several years, meaning its software has been the system of choice for the majority of GP clinics.
The company’s healthtech solutions also have solid footprints in the US, the UK, Australia, Ireland, and India.
Maddocks has advised Medtech Global through a number of significant transactions, including its delisting and takeover by Cereus.
The firm said founder Mr Ramayah had invested 20 years’ evolving Medtech Global, and it was “a pleasure to assist Mr Ramayah solidify his achievements in a clean and successful exit”.
