Navis acquires Biarri Rail assets
Clarendon Lawyers has advised Navis on acquiring the assets of Biarri Rail to expand its global cargo supply chain offering.

The parties entered into a binding agreement at the end of February, with completion of the purchase occurring on 20 March 2020.

Deal significance: The acquisition of Biarri’s cargo supply chain assets strategically complements Navis’ existing terminal and carrier/vessel solutions and will enable Navis to expand its product offering to inland rail solutions.

Biarri Rail, operating out of Melbourne and Chicago, is a global provider of planning and scheduling optimisation software for freight railroads, which enable freight railway operators to better manage the complexities of train services, locomotives, yards, railcars, crews and train paths.
