‘You get what you pay for’: Why being mindful is essential before CPD deadline
The founder of CPD for Me has provided insight into lawyers’ obtaining their CPD points ahead of the deadline on 31 March 2020.
Speaking to Lawyers Weekly, Paula Gilmour advised legal professionals to be cautious when completing courses available to the market.
“Free CPD is ultimately designed to sell you something, and teaching you something useful is sometimes secondary and free does not last forever.
“Everyone is time-poor and quality online content is becoming more accessible from many sources.
“People buy people and I am very thankful that over 80 per cent of our clients return each year to complete CPD units with us.”
CPD for Me prides itself on being available 24/7 and accessible from any location, according to Ms Gilmour.
“I think the biggest threat right now is the coronavirus, so our online CPD offering is the perfect answer to complete all your 10 units. [Furthermore] everyone is time-poor and online suits busy lawyer schedules,” she said.
“We currently service over 3,000 subscribers, worldwide. Each year our subscriber base grows. Our range of client differs vastly and ranges from international law firms to lawyers who enjoy the flexibility of our extensive online library and participating in webinars.
“Our subscribers know that each and every year we offer a wide enough range of speakers and topics that satisfy their CPD requirements and provide them with valuable takeaways in each session,” she said.
CPD for Me is assisting time-poor lawyers by offering over 100 legal experts, as well as exclusive courses available 24/7 on any device, and hosting daily webinars from 7am to 10pm.
