The eighth annual 30 Under 30 Awards is on the horizon, showcasing the achievements of the emerging generation of lawyers who will shape the legal profession for years to come.

This year’s awards features 30 categories, with demographics and practice areas ranging from in-house to not-for-profit, from BigLaw to boutique. Moreover, the Wellness Advocate of the Year Award, which was first offered last year, returns for the 2020 awards.

The 30 Under 30 Awards recognises the depth of talent and outstanding achievements for Australian lawyers under the age of 30 who are getting started in their careers. Winning an award at this event offers a foundation for career progression, providing industry-wide recognition for professional competency while highlighting a passion for the law and dedication for personal advancement.

“This year’s 30 Under 30 Awards promises to be the biggest event of its kind yet,” said Lawyers Weekly editor Emma Ryan.

“With so much competition around them, those lawyers under 30 are determined and laser-focused on being the best of the best. We’re delighted to host this annual event with Taylor Root again, and look forward to celebrating the achievements of some of Australia’s top legal talent.”

The 2020 awards will be held on Friday, 15 May at The Fullerton Hotel in Sydney. It will be hosted by Lawyers Weekly, in conjunction with principal partner Taylor Root.
