Green light for new hybrid power station
DLA Piper has advised Resolute Mining Limited on its power supply agreement for the development of a new hybrid power station at Resolute’s Syama Gold Mine in Mali.

Deal significance: The new 40-megawatt hybrid modular power station will combine world leading solar, battery and thermal generation technologies in one integrated power solution. It will be delivered in partnership with global off-grid, remote power generation provider Aggreko plc, a statement from DLA Piper confirmed.
Stage 1 of the project is expected to be fully operational in December 2020, comprising thermal energy Modular Block generation and a battery storage system, it added.
“We are delighted to support Resolute on this hybrid modular power solution at the company’s Syama Gold Mine,” Ms Eather said.
“Once fully operational, the plant is expected to reduce Syama’s long-term electricity costs by up to 40 per cent while reducing carbon emissions by approximately 20 per cent.”
