Hogan Lovells names Aussie partner as new global head of mining
Hogan Lovells has elevated one of its Australian partners to the role of global head of the firm’s mining sector.

Perth-based corporate partner Matthew Johnson has been appointed to the head role, bringing with him Australian and global transactional and advisory experience, specifically in the mining and natural resources sector.
“It is great to have Matthew as the head of our mining team,” said Scot Anderson, the global head of the firm’s energy and natural resources industry sector group.
“He knows the industry well, and has worked on some of the most sophisticated mining matters in the world. He will provide exceptional guidance and leadership to our lawyers as we serve our clients in the mining industry.”
Commenting on his new role, Mr Johnson said: “It is an honour to hold this position within our global energy and natural resources sector”.
