DLA Piper names 5 new partners
Global firm DLA Piper has made a number of appointments to the partnership across Australia as part of its 2019 global partnership promotions.
Sydney’s partner appointees have been named as Nicholas Boyle, of the intellectual property and technology team, and José De Ponte, as a finance and projects team member.
A total of 77 lawyers were promoted globally across 43 offices in 20 countries, with promotions effective as of 1 April in the United States, and May 1 for EMEA and Asia-Pacific locations, according to DLA Piper.
In announcing the partnership promotions, the firm’s global co-CEO Simon Levine extended his congratulations to all new partners.
“They have all shown strong commitment to client service, excellence and innovation, and will play an invaluable role in the future growth and leadership of our business,” he said.
“These promotions demonstrate our ongoing investment in our business and represent the quality, breadth, and depth of DLA Piper around the world,” co-CEO Jay Rains added.
“These exceptionally talented new partners have made significant contributions to the firm’s growth and development, and we are confident that they will continue to thrive in their new roles.”
“I look forward to working with them in the next stage of their career,” Mr Rains continued.
