Previously at White & Case, MinterEllison said the addition of Mr Dellios adds to the firm’s strong ‘whole of project lifecycle’ national capability.

Mr Dellios specialises in major project approvals, land access and assembly matters, land contamination and environmental compliance and regulatory issues, the firm said, and will bring knowledgeable and practical insight into environmental regulation across sectors including infrastructure, renewable energy and resources.

Mr Dellios said he was looking forward to applying his experience working across Australia, Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Africa to negotiate solution-focused client outcomes.

At MinterEllison, Mr Dellios will focus on major property development, including greenfield and brownfield mixed and residential projects, city changing urban renewal, waste and major infrastructure, as well as energy, resources, and extractives projects, the firm noted.

“Joshua will play a key part in continuing that success and further driving the firm's sector and industry strategy,” the firm’s infrastructure, construction and property managing partner Virginia Briggs said.

For national environment and planning lead partner Simon Ball, “the appointment of Joshua further boosts our vision of being our clients’ best partner by adding specialist expertise to deeply understand the needs of our clients”.

“Joshua’s previous experience in working as an environmental engineer at one of the world’s leading sustainability advisory firms together with his legal expertise, will bring an unrivalled level of technical and commercial expertise when advising on environmental matters for both private and government clients,” he continued.
