Woodside Energy sells 20-year WA gas pipeline supply
Allens has advised Woodside Energy Ltd on its gas sale and purchase agreement for supply of a domestic gas pipeline for the next 20 years to Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers Pty Ltd.

Firm: Allens (Woodside Energy Ltd); White & Case (Perdaman)
Value: Undisclosed
Area: Energy
Key players: Allens’ team was led by Tracey Greenaway with managing associate Jacqui Rowell
Deal significance: The long-term and high-volume gas sale and purchase agreement will underpin the development of Perdaman’s proposed urea plant near Western Australia’s Karratha.
The agreement will see Woodside Energy Pty Ltd provide Perdaman with approximately 125 terajoules of gas each day, primarily sourced through Woodside’s proposed Scarborough development.
It is estimated this will equate to around 12 per cent of Western Australia’s current gas demand.
Tracey Greenaway said the firm was “pleased to have advised Woodside on this significant gas sale and purchase agreement, which will support Woodside’s development ambitions and secure its future as a leading gas supplier in Western Australia for coming decades.”
