G+T launches ‘The Digital Domain’
The national law firm has unveiled a new platform designed to help businesses take advantage of emerging technologies.
The Digital Domain was launched by Gilbert + Tobin this week in a bid to equip businesses with the knowledge of emerging technology and enable them to drive commercial value from such tech as artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, cyber security and the internet of things.
It also explained that the platform features a plethora of animated videos that discuss different emerging technologies in the context of real life business applications and opportunities to scale.
G+T partner and head of the firm’s technology and digital practice Sheila McGregor said, “Transformative technologies were already disrupting large parts of our economy and changing the way leaders need to think about how they run their business today as well as how this new generation of technology can unlock value for the future.
“Talking to our clients we noticed a common theme coming from senior leaders struggling to understand new technologies and their relevance to their businesses.
“With the regulatory environment evolving quickly and new laws such as the mandatory data breach notification now here, there’s a real risk that many people will find themselves caught out and left behind. We saw a need to cut through the noise and streamline the key concepts into a simple, easy-to-digest format.
“Our team of over 25 specialist lawyers worked through the most important emerging trends and issues and developed a unique way to articulate why these issues were relevant, and how they can leverage digital tools such as data, AI and blockchain to solve business challenges and innovate in an economy where change is the only constant.”
