DLA Piper welcomes new special counsel

The global law firm has revealed it has appointed a new special counsel in its Sydney office.

DLA Piper has named Amit Jois as its new special counsel, who joins the firm from Allens.

According to a statement from DLA Piper, Mr Jois is an Australian and US qualified M&A lawyer, specialising in domestic and cross-border transactions including public and private M&A, divestments, restructures, strategic alliances and joint ventures.

Throughout his career, he has gained extensive industrials sector experience and has advised on significant transactions for major listed companies, global commodities traders and financial institutions.

DLA Piper head of corporate Australia James Philips congratulated Mr Jois on his new role at the firm.

Mr Jois said he was thrilled to be taking on a new role at DLA Piper.
