A global satellite communications and network service provider has been advised on the financing arrangements of a planned acquisition.

Deal: SpeedCast International Limited (SpeedCast) has been advised on the financing arrangements for its acquisition of WINS Limited.

Value: Undisclosed

Area: Finance

Key players: The DLA Piper team advising SpeedCast was led by finance and projects partner Alex Regan (pictured), with assistance from senior associate Barbara Carroll and lawyer Rebecca Dang.

Deal significance: Headquartered in Hong Kong, SpeedCast is a global satellite communications and network service provider, offering managed maritime network services in over 90 countries.

Europe-based WINS Limited is a provider of innovative broadband satellite communications and IT solutions for the maritime sector. The group provides services to over 100 passenger-carrying vessels and more than 2,000 merchant shipping vessels.
