Deal significance: RPS Consultants is a subsidiary of London Stock Exchange-listed RPS Group Plc, a global multidisciplinary consultancy business with more than 5,000 personnel.
Its existing service offering includes advising on the exploration and production of oil, gas and other natural resources, the development and management of the built and natural environment, and the planning and development of energy and urban infrastructure.
EIG is a professional services firm that provides services for the development, delivery, maintenance and operation of infrastructure assets.
Its service offering also relates to procurement processes for major infrastructure and operational services.
According to a release by DLA Piper, the acquisition of EIG strengthens RPS's presence and service offering in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
