Firms: Allion Legal (ADM Capital)

Deal: ADM Capital is a major private equity fund based in Hong Kong and its financial backing will assist Yeeda Pastoral Company as it pushes ahead with plans to process 60,000 cattle a year at a new WA abattoir between Broome and Derby.

Value: $23.5 million

Area: Equity capital markets

Key players: Principal David Walker (pictured) and principal Stephen Byrne from Allion Legal acted on the deal.

Deal Significance:

"We are delighted to be involved with ADM Capital in this transaction, which represents its first major investment in the Australian beef industry," Mr Walker said.

"Of significance was ADMC's keen support of Yeeda in completing the abattoir, feedlot and irrigation projects.  ADM Capital has about $1billion worth of investments under management and has said the deal could be the first of many in the Australian agribusiness sector."
