Partner Mike Hayes (pictured) and associate Antony Disciscio have joined Piper Alderman from Lynch Meyer Lawyers.

Mr Hayes has practised in commercial litigation and dispute resolution for more than 20 years, with extensive experience in large-scale corporate and commercial litigation across various jurisdictions, as both solicitor and counsel.

He advises a wide range of clients including large corporations, firms and private individuals across many industries, including financial services, insurance and construction.

He is also the chair of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (SA/NT Division).

As an adjunct to Mr Hayes’ practice, Mr Disciscio has particular experience in insolvency, recoveries and restructuring, having acted for liquidators, receivers and trustees nationally and internationally.

He has also acted for directors in respect of insolvent trading claims and creditors in respect of preference claims in South Australia and interstate. He has been involved in complex insolvency administrations and liquidations.

“Mike’s appointment reflects our strategic focus of offering clients in Australia market-leading dispute resolution capabilities. He is an excellent addition to our team in Adelaide and his strengths dovetail well with our strong Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane litigation and insolvency practices,” Piper Alderman managing partner Tony Britten-Jones said.

“Over the past 12 months alone, in addition to Mike we have welcomed a further six new partners into our Adelaide office across all of our key practice areas. We continue to see a lot of opportunities in Adelaide and our growth strategy will ensure that we are able to capitalise on them.”
